Bottle Cap Art

Bottle cap art

So great that I could show this piece at http://www.skincitybodypainting.com/ exhibit for First Friday.

"Skin City owner Robin Slonina has invited 20 rockstar Las Vegas artists to each create a unique work of art with the DC Comics icon Wonder Woman as their inspiration! You don't want to miss this celebration of the famous warrior princess/feminist icon. As usual, a live body painting demo will also be on hand. This time, model Alyssa will be transformed into Wonder Woman herself!

Día de los Muertos

One of my favorite things to paint

Halloween 2012

Between http://balloonswithatwist.com/aboutus.html, http://www.skincitybodypainting.com/, and friends we had a lot of different characters walking around Las Vegas.

Mystique

Sarah was going to party and Mystique was what she wanted to be.  Only way to be Mystique is to be body painted.  And I mean the only thing we did not paint was the bottom of her feet!!!  Well.... pretty much (painted hair, bathing suit, even her shoes!!!)

I used makeup forever products this time and they worked pretty well.  The flash yellow did a great job of making her eyes look yellow.  She wears contacts so could not use the colored contacts.  She had a blast.  The next day after three hours of baby oil, she was Sarah again!!
Thank you Letty Lopez for assisting!!!!

Hair Wars 2012

I was introduced to a friend of my best friend (Dina Baird) - Tzigane Osborne, who is an amazing hairstylist with Headliners Salon & now a good friend of mine.  She asked me to body paint for her 12 models she was doing hair on for Hair Wars.  I was so excited that she had asked me to be part of her team.  I went to Skin City for help. There were 12 models to be done in 8 hours!!  This was an amazing experience for me.  Tzigane had a vision and our team of artist helped create it!  What an amazing creative team!  Special Thanks to Letty Lopez, Steven Horlock, Jessica Westergom, Dina Baird, and Robin Slonina.  This experience pushed me and I learned so much!!!

Skin City Body Painting Las Vegas

I met Robin B Slonina owner of http://www.skincitybodypainting.com/ at FABAIC (convention)  I took her class on airbrush body painting.  She was so down to earth and a great teacher.  I was impressed!  I was nervous because she is local in Las Vegas & does amazing work (I checked out the website) but I took a chance and asked her if she would like to take on another assistant.  She invited me to observe/assist a body painting she was doing that night.  I was so excited!!  That was in March.  I have been assisting with Skin City, learning, and expanding my knowledge on body art!

FABAIC 2012

The Face and Body Art International Convention was in Las Vegas in March of 2012.  This convention introduced me to many amazing artists and body painting!!  I was able to take a class from Robin B Slonina (owner of http://www.skincitybodypainting.com/), Emma Cammack http://www.emmacammack.com/, and Dutch Bihary http://www.contoursfx.com/.  It was amazing!!  First Body Painting in Emma Cammack's class

Then came a competition.  My team was lead by, Amy Sue Enright Medina (who was a teacher at the convention).  The concept was chaos.  Flowers, fire, and a snake.
